I am not daunted by the futilistic tale of Orpheus and Eurydice!: A poem

You know, for almost a millennia, we believed that the myths had no veracity! Because, of all our misconstrued ideas of what happens to be our reality! How do we conceive such misconceptions of past reality, condemning them to illusions, with our false verdicts? A legacy stares at us for recognition, not only in recounted tales, abjectly called myth, and whatever is left in ancient stone amongst us! Mythology predates and outlives all our education! For, when we die…and civilisations meet their end…their ghosts arise in clairvoyant minds of posterity that bring them back in apparence through verbal narrative! Does light die, if memories do? Or vision for that mattet? The first stars take the longest to reach us(!), but their invisible colour leaves a haunting echo that assembles in our subconsciouness! We live the presence of forefathers in distant memories that live unsensed by us in our RNA and DNA! And, at present, we have a fresh assortment of mythologies crafted by computer graphics and, even AI!

Even so, I see us (you and me) at each frontier and each periphery; heroes reliving and retelling by acts – our work cut out by destiny! And I believe, ultimately, Orpheus will no longer be accursed by the unrelenting underworld for his impassioned pursuit and undying love for Eurydice!
